OBSERVE indie mag

This is a personal project I produced to experiment and explore editorial design and had a lot of fun doing so. Maybe because I chose St Vincent as the main subject but the main focus of the project was to learn in an area that I’m least familiar with which I used Adobe InDesign.

observe
əbˈzəːv/
verb

1. To notice or perceive (something) and register it as being significant.

2. An indie magazine with the intent of praising unique music, arts, fashion and design culture and how each creative field can unite in one source to draw interest from creative folk. Observe’s main focus is to promote original artists, whether they be up and coming pioneers or already established underrated musicians who deserve more exposure and praise for their unique significance in the creative industry. As long as it’s different to the norm, Observe will be the first with the latest and greatest.

In this specific issue, indie queen St. Vincent steps out of her natural black mane days and reveals an even quirkier side to her individuality which is clearly ‘observant' (pun probably intended) on the front cover with her light grey curls and pale skin.

NOTE: I do not own the photos and words of St Vincent and the magazine is just a concept I made up, not official. For the full original interview, click here.
